P&P VIP?

This is probably not a very hard puzzle to solve on a device which auto-calculates the candidates, but I thought it was quite interesting for pen & paper.

This again begs the question: should we have a division in this forum which is aimed at players who prefer to play with P&P, but would like to move up a little from newspaper fare and learn some useful techniques which could help?
This might help us to retain some of the new members who come in at that level but don’t find many of us talking the same language as them. They may of course eventually move on to solving with devices, but should we do something to encourage their interest while it remains mainly with P&P?
