I've been spending a significant amount of time trying to solve this outside sudoku. I have the impression that it's not solvable.
I would appreciate someone trying to solve it and confirm this ...or even better, give a golden tip to make progress with this one.
Source is a sudoku (or alike) puzzle book from Dr Gareth moore.
