Hi

I've been spending a significant amount of time trying to solve this outside sudoku. I have the impression that it's not solvable.

I would appreciate someone trying to solve it and confirm this ...or even better, give a golden tip to make progress with this one.

Source is a sudoku (or alike) puzzle book from Dr Gareth moore.

In row 7 the digits 6 and 8 must both be in the first and last 3 cells of that row.
That is in error, is it?
I think the 6 and 8 must be in row 8 at the right site... Correct?

Also the 3 in row 1 cannot be on both out-sites

I believe the sudoku is solvable if the clues on rows 1 (3) and 7 (8,6) on the right-side are ignored. Medium difficulty, SE=2.8.
