The candidates 1, 3 & 6 can only appear in 'those cells', thus eliminating 1, 3 & 6 from column 2 and column 9 of the first row to give:

It's impossible to have this arrangement because then there will be multiple solutions and the puzzle won't have a unique solution. So, r5c1 HAS GOT to be a 4...

If kiyoshige is the "uniqueness digger" he has demonstrated to be so far, the way he solved those 2 cells might be along these lines:

IMHO these moves aren't anything close to being elegant (and uniqueness assumption isn't required here at all). Hopefully kiyoshige would have used better moves to crack those 2 cells.
