new player need help

Postby reb » Sun Aug 14, 2005 11:02 pm

I have been trying to do this for a week and have not got far. I need hints I can understand.

*6*****2*
5*******3
**43*91*6
*9*87**6*
*58*1*9**
*4*95**8*
**54*86**
98******4
42*****1*

clues on how to solve this would be appreciated as it is starting to give me a headache.

Look at column 2, there are three numbers still to be placed. One of them can be placed immediately because of the numbers in an intersecting row, then a second number, also because of numbers in an intersecting row, then the last number has only one place to go. Similar deductions should keep things going for you.

I suggest you acquaint yourself with Pappocom's recommended "Basic terms" posted May 23 under General/programme.
