More difficult puzzles?

Postby Guest » Thu May 26, 2005 8:39 am

:?::?::?::?:

I went through all the sample "hard' and 'complicated' puzzles on the website fairly quickly.

Does the download have anything more challenging or just more of the same?

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy them from a relaxing point of view...
Just they seem notch below cryptoquip in solving difficulty.

Look closely at candidates for the cell at row 4 column 3. That should get things rolling again.

Multiple solutions

Postby Guest » Sun Jun 05, 2005 12:43 pm

Hi,

There are multiple solutions to this puzzle. Logic alone gets you to a partial solution, then you need to pick one of the possible values for a cell and see what that gives you.

There are at least 2 groups of cells that can take one value or another and still produce a valid solution.

I'd say that this isn't a 'good' puzzle as they should have a unique solution. But then I only saw and solved my first puzzle yesterday.

it all depends

it all depends on r7,8;c3,5,9. they're all intherchangeable with 2s, 6s and 8s (to an extent) to give you what you need. i concur, not a very good puzzle.
