Medium Page-a-day Calendar puzzle stumper

Postby folkdancer001 » Sun Jan 06, 2008 1:36 am

Medium puzzle from Jan 2 of "Page a day Calendar." I dubbed it in Pappocom Sudoku program, verified that it can be solved, and then got as far as you see here. There must be some solving technique I haven't yet learned or stumbled across. I'd be grateful to learn a strategy that works for this puzzle.

TIA,

Bill

Thanks for the hint, Sped. What I see is that it is possible the 8 could go either in R6C6 or R6C8. I have no logical way to choose one over the other... that I can see so far. Am I missing something obvious here?

r6c6 has a 4 in it, and column 8 already has an 8.

I was a little tired last night... yes, in retrospect it was fairly obvious. Thanks, Sped.
