Something's staring me in the face that I'm not seeing. Doing basics, how'd you get rid of the 8s in r2c46? :oops:

Nice one, Ngisa. If you like, you can shorten it a bit by eliminating the unnecessary 5's in terms b and c, and by using an ALS to combine terms d and e. Like this:

(4=8)r2c5-r8c5=r9c4-(8=17)r9c12-(1=4)r3c1

Danny made that last point for me just a couple of days ago, where I had a 2 cell ALS that could be expanded to 3 cells. The flag suggesting the possibility is having an element of the set (just 7 in your case) followed by a strong link from that element to one more element in the same house in the next step.
