I'm looking for a Sudoku generator which should if possible be open source. I've tried Cross +A and like it but finances are an obstacle especially since I'm on a Mac. What I really want is something that runs all the Sudoku options that Cross +A does but which is open source. I have done some googling and I'm aware I may be looking for pigs that fly.

Here is source code for visual basic for creating and verifying sudoku puzzles

It was written in the very antiquated Visual Basic 6.0. I am working on a vb.net version currently.

Hope this is useful. I am also working on source code for a solver.
