Killer Aid is a tool to help solve those tricky Killer Sudoku puzzles. Lists all combinations for cage sizes between 2 and 9 cells, highlighting any duplicate values. An edit tool simplifies entering cell/sum combinations.
Easy to filter the cage cell values list through filters of excluded and included numbers. The include filter can either be AND or OR (or a combination of both). Cage cell values can also be manually crossed off the list; this feature makes it simpler to find duplicate cell values.
Lastly a calculator optimised for solving Killer puzzles is provided. This helps quickly determine the “innies” and “outies” (remainders inside and outside the a 3 x 3 square) and also remainders in columns or rows. The calculator includes formula text to keep track of entries.

Note it does contain a small banner at the top of the screen that is designed to support iAd adverts. These have been designed to minimise interference with use of the tool.

If you've struggled to complete tricky, tough, or deadly Killer Sudoku puzzles then this App could be for you. It provides a suite of tools to aid finding the minimum number of combinations that add up to each cage’s sum. The results are clearly displayed with any duplicate numbers highlighted in red.

The target number of cells and their sum is entered using the edit tool. This presents a pick list of cells and sums values to simplify their selection and prevent invalid entries.

Filter tools help reduce the possible combinations. Three variants of filter are provided namely:
・Exclude
・Include AND
・Include OR
The exclude filter removes any combinations that contain the specified numbers. The "include AND" filter reduces the combinations down to those that include all the specified numbers. The "include OR" filter facilitates including combinations that contain one or more of a set of numbers. These three filter types can be combined together. Cage combinations can also be manually deleted.

A calculator tool, optimised for solving Killer puzzles, is provided. This helps with some of the solving strategies (e.g. determining the sums of “innies” and “outies” - remainders inside and outside the a 3 x 3 square, row or column). The calculator includes formula text to keep track of entries.

Lastly a support menu provides access to help, Killer Sudoku solving strategies and references sources of Killer Sudoku puzzles.


What's New in This Version
Provides a Support option, which gives access to help, solving strategies, and a Killer Sudoku bibliography. It also provides a simple method to rate the App, suggest new features or report any bugs.
The Include OR filter has been revised to allow choices between different sets of cell values. All filters now include a status line to indicate their current settings.
The Calculator now includes a "x" functions to aid solving strategies using multiple rows, columns or blocks.
Tools on the iPad version now have the same look and feel as the iPhone version.

A new version is available in the App Store.
Main changes include support for the iPad Pro and horizontal scrolling of filter settings and calculator formula text. The latter is useful when you want to check a long calculation involving many cage sums and the formula text exceeds the display width.

I'm afraid that as Apple has announced that they are withdrawing their advertising framework (called iAd), I can no longer offer this App for free. Therefore the latest update has removed the banner adverts and instead is charging a modest price of 79 pence. The good news is that if you have already installed the App (Thanks for that) you can still get this update for free.

New version of KillerAid available. The main difference is that you can optionally choose to list combinations with duplicates. This can be useful when you know the sum of "outie" cells, but not all these cells can see one another.

I'm afraid I'm unable to release an Android version at the moment. I'm not familiar with Android Apps, so I can't recommend an alternative.
