Killer 10th October

Postby afjt » Mon Oct 10, 2005 9:56 am

The 2 copies of today's paper that I have seen both have a printing error in the top left box - it looks like a smudged 2 (which is clearly impossible), but the 405-rule (9x45 - first time I've had to use this !!) shows that it should be 12.

Luckily mine wasn't smudged and it's definitely 12 for the top left cage! I hope we have some harder ones later in the week.

I haven't got the paper yet - should I not bother? My killer book finally arrived from Amazon today (only a week late) so I have plenty to be getting on with.....

Depends if you're buying the paper just for the Killer Su Doku!

Today's is described as Gentle with time guide of just 5 minutes which was pretty accurate.

Yes, I am. The Guardian is my paper of choice, but I was on a train (with complementary copies of The Times) the day they introduced Killers and by the end of my journey I was totally hooked. But I won't bother buying the paper today, I'll just stick to the book and the DJape daily killer.

Ah, a Gentle Killer. Killed with kindness?

I had the same printing imperfection. Obviously a 2-cell cage can't be a 2, so I figured it was a 12, and indeed it was.
