No, not particularly.
I was happy to conflate my two chains then "Let the reader figure out that it's merely a chain being used to arrive at a conclusion."
Those end terms "(2)r9c23 -..." and "...- (2)r9c23" showed the contadiction.
It was sufficient for me to put a 2 in either r9c2 or r9c3 on the left hand side to see it would kill them on the right hand side.
Job done.
But it's good to see your AIC, perhaps I could have done that too if I'd had enough confidence that my single chain was accurate.
