There are lots of solving methods. i d' like to present the different one.
Between single-digits 1 and 2, both are interrupted each other.
[if r8c4=1] cause [r1c8 must be 1 and/or 2] => contradiction.
Thus [r8c4<>1], instead [r8c6=1] then stte.

Hi, Kozo. I know that your solution is correct. For example, 1r1c4 = (1-2)r1c8 = r9c8 - r9c6 = (2-1)r2c6 = 1r12c4 => -1 r8c4 ; stte . However, I don't understand how you're getting there. Your single digit chart doesn't show a 2 at r1c4, and I don't understand how you're using the charts.

3. I don't understand how you're using the charts.

Thank you for your inquiry. Hereunder replies for 1 to 3.
1. Usually at first, check one single-digit only if there are any false candidates without consideration of other digits.
---Secondary, if necessary, check two single-digit's inter-ruption if there are any false.
2. By the first, ( like FISHes) found 2r1c4 and 2r2c7 are false ( means both cause contradiction).
3. Please refer the following charts. Just eliminate relevant candidates step by step.
---Both 1 and 2 at r1c8 are as single =>contradiction as shown charts B and C.
Code: Select all
A: digit 2         B: if r8c4 = 1     C: r2c6 is 1 single
r1c4,r2c7 eliminated                therefore r2c4 is 2 single
