Isn't 2 at r6c9 a second guardian, in which case one could only deduce r6c3 <> 2? (same result with discontinuous loop (2)r6c3 - r6c5 = r9c5 - r9c2 = r7c3)

Phil, You have better eyes than mine; I simply failed to note the 2 in r6c9.

I just "toyed around" with 2r6c9 and determined that it causes a conflict, but that is of no value now since I already blew the deal.
