This a redrafting of the discoveries made by a number of contributors on the JExocet pattern made in the last two years. Most, but not all the findings have been gathered from the JE various threads, where by the nature of a discussion forum they are scattered and interspersed with side discussions of varying quality.
The work is presented as a series of 14 attached unprotected Open Office *.odt files. When opened, switch to web mode to turn off any pagination and adjust the zoom level if needed. The files aren't protected so once downloaded can be annotated and edited as required. We have all suffered the loss of reference pages on the web for various reasons and this approach should overcome that. If it is well received it could be extended to other subjects too.
Please consider how the subject has been handled more of a personal view rather than an official bible. Most of the original terms and treatments have been retained but those that didn't work so well (including many of my own) have been revised in an attempt to overcome their shortcomings. It is up to players to decide if these changes are improvements and are worth adopting or not, a path which should eventually lead to some form of consensus.
As I age, I'm aware that I can't maintain my concentration a subject for as long as in the past, and also that I've become more error-prone. That explains in part the time it's taken me, and also means I can't guarantee to respond quickly to any posts addressed to me. I apologise for any errors and omissions that have escaped proof reading.
Jason Lion informs me that document attachments to posts can be updated but the procedure is complicated and untested. This is why each document is contained in a different post. I intend to compile a list of any necessary factual corrections contributors spot and and implement them all together when they seem to be complete.
