I missed to state that Leren's chain solving December 28 puzzle was not a riddle to me.

Phil

Phil, in order to make your last step (=1r9c9) and get the elimination at r9c2, your chain needs to "remember" that you've eliminated the 1 at r6c9 in step f. An added star should do the trick.

Hi Steve

The 1 at r7c9 is false by virtue of the strong link to the 2, not because it sees a 1 preceeding it in the chain which is true. I wasn't sure how to indicate it with a star, but I knew you'd understand.
