Is there a software rating somewhere?

The comments on sudopedia.com about the different softwares available to gednerate and solve sudokus, does not say much. So is there a rating chart somewhere? I've used simple sudoku and liked it to a point and aslo used sudoku assistentet (sp?) and didn't like it.

There are many different Sudoku difficulty rating programs, which all rate puzzles in different ways. One of the more popular ones is Sudoku Explainer. There is a section about half way through the Sudoku Explainer FAQ that lists the solving techniques it uses and how it rates puzzles, search for "How does the Sudoku Explainer rate the difficulty of a Sudoku?" on this page.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well, I was asking if there is a rating for the programas, based on functions, solving methods they use, etc.
