i plan very very far ahead and see if a number can be in a place by working out if other numbers in that line can be what/where they are by see all possibillitys it takes me a long time but its how i can always beat most/nearly every puzzle.

Yes I think this is basically what everybody does in essence. The trick is knowing what can go where, and having techniques for establishing this. Learning these techniques, and practicing spotting all the clues is what makes it such a challenge. If you can do all this in your head, "thinking very very far ahead" purely intuitavely, without pencil marks, on a "Very Hard", I salute you!
