hello...i was wondering if anyone knows what the average solution time for a sudoku...difficulty hard..

I don't know about average times, but if you are looking for a comparison this site can be kind of fun: http://sudoku.com.au/2H26-5-2006-sudoku.aspx, although I don't always believe the times and the ads can be a little annoying (fortunately you can get rid of the flashing ones).

It usually takes me about an hour or two for a hard puzzle....I haven't been playing long so i am not that good yet.

Easy puzzle - boil an egg
Moderate puzzle - make and drink one cup of tea
Hard puzzle - do both of the above then start scribbling pencilmarks then cheat by running it through a solver "just to check" your working so far.
