Could someone help me with a solution to this puzzle. I got it from the sudoku software - the very hard catagory. Also, can you point me to where I can find info on diads and triads. What are they? Thanks, andrew

You have a X-Wing on "3" in cells r5c1/r5c7/r8c1/r8c7 that solve the puzzle.

The reason for the preview is so that you can correct mistakes if they occur or to make alterations to your text before submitting the post.

Do you mean pairs and triples?

I think the most important step is to realise that you made an incorrect elimination of 7 in r7c3, this will eventually lead to a contradiction as the the 7 is actually the true occupant of that cell.
