Please can someone offer me some help with this very hard puzzle. It has occupied my whole weekend and I am seriously frustrated !

This is as far as I could get and I have checked and this is correct so far. Any assistance would be much appreciated

Looks like an X-wing - digit 1, cols 2 & 6.

And when you found that one you find another X-Wing (with the number 5), or atleast I did...

Second X-Wing: look at column 4 and column 8

Through T & E:

The pair "7" and "9" are the only numbers for r9c7 and r9c8

r9c7 must be "9".

Then the su doku puzzle can be solved.

If you place a "7" in r9c7, you will end up with an empty cell with no
pencil marks in r8c1.
