re'born and
wapati, but your answers are too cryptic for me
I read SE, SS, Sudocue answers and I think I understood them.
Is there an elegant (and full) solution from your side ?
Thanks.

Not really from me. I'll show you the simplest way that I now see based on re'born's reply.
Simple stuff gets you to here:
- Code: Select all
.-----------------.---------------.---------------.
| 1 6 489 | 7 589 58 | 3 489 2 |
|*89 3 7 | 2 6 4 |*89 5 1 |
| 5 24-89 2489| 3 89 1 | 6 7 489 |
:-----------------+---------------+---------------:
| 3 7 6 | 9 248 28 | 1 248 5 |
| 2489 1 2489| 5 7 3 | 24 6 489 |
| 2489 2489 5 | 1 248 6 | 7 2489 3 |
:-----------------+---------------+---------------:
| 24-89 2489 1 | 6 3 7 | 5 289 489 |
| 6 5 24 | 8 1 9 | 24 3 7 |
| 7 *89 3 | 4 25 25 |*89 1 6 |
'-----------------'---------------'---------------'
Here I'd spot a double digit (89) skyscraper in rows 2 and 9 eliminating both 8 and 9 from r3c2 and r7c1.
This is also a remote pair removing the identical candidates.
If you do a bit of cleanup you get to here:
- Code: Select all
.-----------------.---------------.---------------.
| 1 6 489 | 7 589 58 | 3 489 2 |
| 89 3 7 | 2 6 4 | 89 5 1 |
| 5 24 2489| 3 89 1 | 6 7 489 |
:-----------------+---------------+---------------:
| 3 7 6 | 9 248 28 | 1 248 5 |
| 89-24 1 2489| 5 7 3 |*24 6 489 |
| 2489 24 5 | 1 248 6 | 7 2489 3 |
:-----------------+---------------+---------------:
|*24 89 1 | 6 3 7 | 5 289 489 |
| 6 5 *24 | 8 1 9 |*24 3 7 |
| 7 89 3 | 4 25 25 | 89 1 6 |
'-----------------'---------------'---------------'
I wouldn't normally spot this remote pair but it is an easy one and leaves the puzzle very easy to complete.
Good eye re'born!
