Giant sudoku generator

Is there freeware software available that will generate really large sudokus? I am currently using JSudoku but it struggles to generate large puzzles and can't really do it at all for killer sudokus.

Are you looking for a multiple 9x9 Sudoku board generator or one capable of generating 12x12, 16x16, 100x100 Sudoku Board variants?

Almost all developers seem to focus on single 9x9 boards and not large or multiple Sudoku variants. I myself can only find a handful of applications that is able to generate multiple 9x9 Sudoku.

Besides JSudoku you mentioned, have a look at the following:

Sudoku Sensei
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sudoku-sensei

Sudoku Solver (no generator, only a solver)

You can also check out my attempt at a multiple Sudoku board generator.
SudoKai v3.1 (Not Free, and no Layout Manager)
http://www.sudokai.com

SudoKai v4 is still a work in progress and don't know when it will be completed.

Anyway, hope you can find what you are looking for.
Merry X-Mass and Happy New Year.

Could you please define 'really large'?

By really large I do mean boards such as 25x25, 36x36 etc. The larger the better really although I would like the puzzles to need a little thought not just hidden singles.

Sudoku Sensei looks an interesting program at first glance.

You can go to http://sudokugeant.cabanova.fr/, click on 'sudoku' and scroll to the bottom. There you will find a selection of massive sudokus. I would be happy to generate you a plain or X sudoku, symmetric or non-symmetric, up to 36x36 and plain up to 100x100, on request.

HTH
