I've found a pattern of 3x3 boxes that allows for arbitrarilly large sudokus.

No special rules, just rows, lines and boxes without repeated numbers. If anyone is interested, please see :

Sounds like an interesting idea. Am trying Puzzle 1 out now. It's a little difficult to wrap my head around the idea of the short rows/columns, but I can see how it works.
