Fiendish 422

Some days, I wonder why I bother. Found the 4 obvious numbers. No idea how to progress.

I think there are more than four "obvious" numbers in this one. You must be missing something.

I was stuck for a while too, so I put in all candidate 1's, then 2's, then *click*, I spotted a 2 and the whole thing unwrapped with a wriggle.

I did this one on the train (never an easy thing to do as (a) the train wobbles all over the place - one of those Adalente tilting type jobs -and (b) the load music form my ipod is a bit distracting) but I didn't think it was too bad at all - a bit more satisfying than recently - lots of triples. But basically straightforward.........

Most complex feature in a Times Fiendish?

Triples? I've never needed to find a triple in a Times Fiendish. Only in a rare Super/Ultra Fiendish. Even that "Grand Final" sudoku published a few days ago didn't need triples, although that Round-One puzzle did.
