What is happeneing with the Times. Just been looking at the puzzle, and got stumped after so far. Then when completed I found out why -

Have I missed anything. I asked the system to find a solution using numbers 49213 but the system has not responded

That's strange... the 'system' did give a reply when I entered the number...
It shows that you are missing a clue. According to the solutions page there is a clue in r5c7. (the number 9).
(I cannot verify this in the Times since I don't have it, and the grid will only appear on their site tommorow)

Yep just got the reply back from the system. I wrote it down wrong.
Stange One number missing from the same board, and I get a completly different answer, which can have two solutions.
