I believe the correct terminology is ALS XZ Rule, X = 8, Z = 3, since there are only 2 ALSs involved.

I've been caught by the Sudoku police before for using "incorrect" terminology in these situations !

Also be aware that if all of your ALSs are single cells then it's an XY chain not an ALS chain. The Sudoku police will be onto you about this also .

I've been using and in fact developing my CW technique in these daily puzzles. There is a serious lack of a description of CW in the literature. This is not the right place for such a description. I shall now put a description on the 'Advanced solving techniques' section, including my solution of today's puzzle as an example. Please refer to that post for future reference.
