For your information, the custom we tend to use before our killer move for Dan's daily puzzles is "Basics", which is not quite the same as SSTS.

According to the Sudopedia mirror site, STSS includes :Naked Single, Hidden Single, Naked Pair, Locked Candidates, Naked Triple, Naked Quad, Hidden Pair, X-Wing, Swordfish, Simple Colors, Multi-Colors, Hidden Triple, XY-Wing, Hidden Quad

"Basics" does not include Simple Colors, Multi-Colors or XY-Wing as well as basic (unfinned and not Franken or Mutant) X-Wing, Swordfish or Jellyfish.
