Many thanks again, blue.
So it was not wrong, that i suspected many BUG's in multi candidate puzzles.
Just wrong with the rest, as usual with my sudoku conjectures :)

For December 9: 8 BUG+35's
For December 14: 8(?) 42 BUG+58's

Thanks! Glad to know my suspicions weren't baseless (in those cases).

I checked your full result lists for the January and December puzzles -- good job !

Thanks! I'm actually happily surprised there weren't more mistakes on the second batch, as I worked it out pretty quickly. Great that you reported the ones I missed! I redid those and found my mistakes easily, so there doesn't seem to be any systemic fault in my process. However, with one of them even my new result seems to disagree with yours (in addition to disagreeing with my old result).

Code: Select all
Puzzle                 SpAce           blue         SpAce redone
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
December 16, 2018:     BUG+13          BUG+14       Yep, a simple counting error.
December 11, 2018:     Multi-BUG?      no BUG       Yep, a case of blindness... but then: BUG+29 !?
December 5, 2018:      Multi-BUG?      no BUG       Yep, a case of blindness.
17November18:          Multi-BUG?      1 BUG+26     Yep, a case of blindness.

Are you sure about the December 11 no-BUG result? Or did I make a new mistake? Here's the BUG+29 my second attempt gave:

Code: Select all
.--------------------.-------------------.-----------------.
| 57     6     57    | 34+8  1     48+3  | 39    89+3   2  |
| 4      3     8     | 9     7     2     | 6     1      5  |
| 2      1     9     | 6     38    5     | 47+3  37+8   48 |
:--------------------+-------------------+-----------------:
| 8      59+7  13+57 | 45+3  6     47+13 | 2     37+9   19 |
| 37+1   2     6     | 38    9     17+38 | 5     4      18 |
| 15+37  79+5  4     | 2     58+3  13+78 | 37+9  89+37  6  |
:--------------------+-------------------+-----------------:
| 9      4    35     | 1     35   6      | 8    2       7  |
| 6      8    2      | 7     4    9      | 1    5       3  |
| 13+57  57   17+35  | 58+3  2    38     | 49   6       49 |
'--------------------'-------------------'-----------------'

For kicks ...

Awesome... Thanks for those! :)

Many thanks to both you and eleven for bothering to tackle this rather academic problem! Dunno about anyone else but at least I learned something new, which is always great. (Special thanks also to RSW for inspiring this whole discussion.)

:D :D :D OK ...
Your BUG+29 is correct, and it's the only one present.

I used the PM state from here, though !
I should have looked closer at the rest of the thread :)

Great, thanks for confirming that!

That explains... so it was my fault, after all! :D Thanks for catching yet another mistake of mine!! :D This is funny. I have absolutely no idea why I had a wrong PM there (doesn't seem to make any sense either), or why no one noticed before. Fortunately my solution seems to work with the correct one as well.
