It occurred to me after I posted them that you could use a very special kind of uniqueness: I probably wouldn't post four different puzzles if any of them had the same solution. (And indeed, if you assume they all have different solutions they reduce to 4.2 just considering the three cells where unique givens appear!)

But otherwise, your solutions are pretty comparable to what I found. Nothing too complex after the MSLSs, but seemingly resistant to reducing to few steps.
