Hi,

I've been working from puzzle magazines and haven't had much problem with any of the puzzles. So, I decided to try some harder ones on the internet. This one has me stumped. I've eliminated as many numbers as I can think of and I'm stuck.

This is the original puzzle:

I've double checked to make sure my pencil marks are correct, but I've been staring at this thing for so long that I might have missed something.

Can someone please tell me what I'm missing?

There's only one place for an 8 in box 1.

Thew 9 Blocks or Boxes (3x3) make up the Grid and are labelled as follows:

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

So Box 1 is the Top-Left Box, and in this 3x3 Box there is only one place an 8 can go. Similarly in Box 3 there is a single cell where one can place a 4.
