I was working on the Daily Sudoku Nightmare for June 6th, 2006 [Here]. I found that following only the hints provided by the software that Simple Sudoku v4.1z will eventually not be able to provide any more hints to solve the puzzle. However, Into Sudoku was able to provide hints to reach a solution.

Was just curious if either author (or anyone else) knows why Simple Sudoku can't provide the solution? I use both programs daily for solving puzzles because I think they are 2 of the best software out there at the moment.

The answer is easy: Because a technique required for this puzzle is not implemented.
