Copying and Pasting Puzzles - in Simple Sudoku

Postby chaseallen » Wed Jan 04, 2006 6:03 pm

I tried to enter the daily puzzle from the Arizona Republic of 1/4/2006 according to the instructions in ther help file of Simple Sudoku. I used the ..|..|.. (x9 lines, etc) and the xxnxxnxxn forms in a .ss (text) file. Sudoku rejected the input as invalid puzzle. I have used this input method once prior, successfully. Any comments???

you can dub the puzzle straight into simple sudoku without putting it in that format first. When you first open the game you get a grid with all the candidates in every cell. Just start filling in the clues and you'll see the candidates reduce. When you've got all the clues entered, press F3 to start playing.
