I am often pressed for time and after rushing through eg a Times puzzle and before emailing I want to be sure I've not blundered. Has anyone thoughts on the minimum checks that have to be done to be sure that the solution is unique and correct?

What I do is make sure that all the numbers 1 - 9 appear in each row and column. Is that enough? I could also check that all 9 numbers appear in each cell as well? Is that enough?

Clearly I can't wait until the solution is posted because it is then too late to email mine.
