I'm rapidly becoming addicted to this puzzle. I'm not keen on the T+E method as decribed in previous posts. I don't seem to need it up to the levelof fiendish. However, can anyone confirm if there is always a logical number input when stuck on 'fiendish' or do you at some point have to use the trial and error method?

PS, A pen plus the Trial and error method not very practical on the the tube
