I have used the app from sudoku.com for years, but it has recently been updated with some in-your-face features that are so annoying. I am considering switching to another app if I can find one that has a clean interface like this one had before the update.

What is the consensus here on the best app for iPad?

Well, if you want to switch into other option then there are lots of option some of them which are most popular and reputed are enjoy sudoku and simply sudoku.
