beginner needing help on medium difficulty puzzle

The book I got it from gives a tip and says to try to figure out what goes on row 4 column 3, but i'm completely stuck. Please help:!:

Each row or column must contain the numbers 1 to 9. There are only three possible numbers to fill the vacant cells in column 3. Two of these numbers can't go in cell r4c3 because of a conflict with row 4. That leaves you with only one possible number for this cell.
