Being away sick, i have too much time to resist to post this nice pattern. 2nd time i saw such a thing.
Code: Select all

Double almost remote pair, connected by the 68 pair in c5
RP 14r7c34,r6c4,r3c6 = 8r6c4 - r5c5 = r9c6 - r9c6 = RP 14r7c34,r9c6,r3c6 => -14r3c3, stte

Awesome! Thanks for that! I briefly tried to look for some RP action with the 14s but never saw that. Too bad; it's not even that hard to see once seen.

I know you're not interested in notation issues, but I recently wondered about the RP notation. I have no problem with what you just wrote, and it's actually very close to what I did before (and I think it's still fine). However, here's a couple of options I came up with, if one wants to depict the internal logic of the pattern without a complex AIC:

1) As a dual (double-digit) X-Chain (in this case two; a dual Crane and a dual Kite):

[(1/4):r7c3=r7c4-r6c4=r4c6] = (86)b5p75 - (68)r9c56 = [(1/4):r7c3=r7c4-r9c6=r4c6] => -14 r4c3; stte

2) As a dual (double-digit) fish:

(1/4)R7B5\r4c34 = (86)b5p75 - (68)r9c56 = (1/4)R7C6\r4c3b8 => -14 r4c3; stte

In general, I'm suggesting using the '/' for cases where the same logic applies to multiple digits, though I can't think of other cases than RPs off-hand. In other words, it's a shorthand for two parallel chains (or fishes), not to be interpreted as a single AIC or fish (because it wouldn't be correct).

What do you think?
