The above is part of my string. There was a typo in the 2nd term above; it should end with c9 rather than c5. So that term establishes that there now a 15 naked pair in r79c9. Here's where I "manufacture" the ALS. The three cells, r379c9 contain 37-15-15 and I'm trying to create an ALS with those three cells to give me the 3 in r3c9 that I want. My penultimate term, (157=3)r793c9, does that, validly or otherwise. I operate under the assumption that you can pick and choose cells to form an ALS as long as the mechanics are correct, such as N-1 cells and the end of one term leading into the next.But, I made my statement, "(I still get nervous when I post a manufactured ALS solution)", for a reason.
