I'm giving up on the one-stepper which I know is in there.

XY-Wing 59-7 with transport.

7r5c8=r7c8-(7=9)r7c9-(9=5)r7c3-(5=7)r6c3=>r5c1<>7.

XY-Wing 89-7, pivoted in r5c1, with transport, =>r3c1<>7

I found my one-stepper.

Code: Select all
+--------------+--------+--------------+
|  2    6   37 | 8  9 5 |  1    4  37  |
|  5    9   1  | 3  7 4 |  8    6  2   |
| F3-78 38  4  | 1  6 2 | E357  9  357 |
+--------------+--------+--------------+
|  389  358 6  | 59 4 7 |  2    1  589 |
| A789  1   2  | 59 3 6 | D579 C78 4   |
| B79   4   57 | 2  1 8 | D579  3  6   |
+--------------+--------+--------------+
|  1    25  59 | 6  8 3 |  4    27 79  |
|  4    23  38 | 7  5 9 |  6    28 1   |
|  6    7   89 | 4  2 1 | 39    5  389 |
+--------------+--------+--------------+

This was called XYZ-Transport when I first learned it and I get to use it perhaps once a year. I don't know how to Eureka it.

ABC is a flightless XYZ-Wing. Transport C to E via D. Now F sees all three pincers ABE and must be<>7.

Using the (38)UR:r34c12:

(8)r3c2 = (8)r4c2 - (8)r4c1 = (8)Xwing:r34c12 -[UR]- (3)XWing:r34c12 = (3)r8c3 => r3c2 <> 3

XYZWing["AB-C"]-D=E -> "(79=8)r56c1-(8=7)r5c8"-7r56c7=7r3c7 -> "7r56c1=7r5c8"-7r56c7=7r3c7 -> 7r56c1=7r3c7 :=> -7r3c1

Finally got around to looking at this puzzle....

ANP(79=8)r65c1-(8=7)r5c8-r7c8=r7c9-r1c9=7r1c3 => r3c1,r6c3<>7

Edit: After posting my solution, I reviewed the earlier posts and realized that I used the identical logic as Marty's xyz-wing except I used a long, messy transport. I find it interesting how we tend to view the same pattern through different eyes.
