You could condense this to just : SSTS, stte. :D Leren

Why? I don't think 3D Medusa is an SSTS technique (it only has single-digit coloring). I also don't think that the existence of an effective Medusa pattern guarantees that the puzzle is solvable with SSTS. I'm not sure but it doesn't seem like SSTS solves even this puzzle despite the Medusa.

Obviously the Medusa isn't a very elegant way to present a solution, but this demonstrates that it can be a very easy and effective solving method (or be a basis for more advanced coloring methods, which is the usual case). Since we recently had the coloring discussion, I'm just presenting a few examples where Medusa works directly (not implying that solutions should normally be presented like that). I consider such puzzles very easy because my way of solving non-trivial puzzles often starts with identifying and coloring the largest Medusa cluster I can see. I rarely expect it to solve anything by itself, but sometimes it does (like here) and I can't think of an easier way to find a solution. When it doesn't, it's easy to continue with deeper coloring.

Btw, I need coloring much less with p&p solving because I can then see chains much more easily with my special mark-up. With the normal candidate view of Hodoku it's much harder to see chains directly, even with filters (because they can't be combined, which is dumb). Coloring makes it trivial, though, and it's much faster than doing it on paper.
