Postby Smart_A1ec » Fri May 19, 2006 1:43 pm

i invented this within a few minuts (actually an hour :P) and think this would be a challenging new sudoku, the rules are the same as sudoku, but only 5 numbers, i will post my first puzzle:

1...5
..5..
.4.5.
.5...
...23

try to solve it, i dare ya:D

and post any other puzzle that has to do like this one, in a different order:)

Is there any restraints other than rows & columns? If not, there are 5 different solutions (and thus deemed an invalid puzzle):

Code: Select all
12345
23514
34152
45231
51423

12345
23514
34251
45132
51423

12345
43512
34251
25134
51423

13245
42531
34152
25314
51423

13245
32514
24351
45132
51423

Note if only rows/columns are restraints, they should not be called "Sudokus", only "Latin Square Puzzles" or some fancy name mentioned by dukuso which I've forgotten...

At least you could have made a diagonal puzzle...:(

Why not invent binary sudoku while you're at it?
Code: Select all
0   1
1   0
