Aloha from Alaska!

Yiup, I'm in alaska (but i'm from kentucky) and i'm new to this game.

I've been solving Kakuro's a little after i started Sudoku, then a friend of mine's mom started paying us $20 if we solved a "diabolical" Sudoku.(wich is wierd, because my friend doesn't seem like a "nerdy" kid [no offence] he usally hates this type of stuff.. hmm....) so i've set off to start masterign the techniuqe.

The only problem is, the easy ones are more of Diabolical to me!
Maybe this is just becuase i've done like 10, or maybe i'm jsut not cut out for being a sudoku solving master.. or maybe i am i jsut don't have patience worth squat :P. Whataver the reason, any help on starting to become the complete master (and earning $20) (not that it's much, but the bragging rights is! [he always beats me in everything]) would be greatly appericiated.

BTW i have a white-belt book, i've read some tips and stuff on other 'sites, and i've downloaded Simply Sudoku..

Newbies are always welcome on this forum, even when they're from Alaska. Every "veteran" once started as a newbie...

You did not get an answer because you haven't asked a specific question. You could post the puzzle that's the subject of the bet in the "Help with particular puzzles" forum. There's a bunch of people out there waiting for a chance to show off their Sudoku knowledge.

For general solving tips, I recommend you to read my solving guide, which covers most techniques.
