Is there a remedy for Sudoku addiction? I DARE NOT download the 28 day free trial or buy the software, I limit myself to the daily papers that cross my path and I want to get my life back!!!!

Get so good at them that there are no more challenges. - you can then ignore them with a self satisfied smirk.

That actually does happen fast enough. I no longer even look at the V. Easies and Easies Mon-Wed (in the Wash Post), and the Mediums are almost there. The Hards on Sat/Sun are still enough of a challenge to enjoy, but is that going to last? It's taken a month to this point. Serious question: Am I going to abandon Sudoku at some point and go back to chess, bridge and the like? As in: Is all this a fad? (I filled up a notebook with Rubik's Cube notations one year.)

I reckon no more of a fad than crosswords in the long run. As there's no element of interpersonal competition, that's always going to keep it out of the realms of chess and the like. But some people will always go for the self-development angle. Me 'specially.

You mean like my Super Mario Bros fad - that had a self development angle and it took me years to peak!

If things get bad enough, we can always start an SA (Sudoku Anonymous) Forum.:D

Hi, em!

(applauds)

Just don't say 12-step program, because that'll just get me going again...
