A salesman buy 200 kgs of fresh cucumbers from farm containing 99% water. When he reached his godown, the cucumbers contained 98% water due to hot weather.
What is the weight of cucumbers in kgs now?

If the cucumbers reduced 1% more water at the end of the day then how much more weight in kgs reduced?

Hint, a surprising result achieved when cucumbers dried out.

The variation in difficulty makes you think twice but I’m happy :D

With this one the dry wt is constant and is 2kg
And the start water content is 198kg

After the hot day the 2kg (constant) is now 2% which makes the total wt = 2 * 100 / 2 = 100kg and water content 98kg

Further 1% water loss is 98 * 1 /100 = .98 kg. Total weight now is 99.02 kg
