I could have used better notation. The ALS is a bit goofy.
In r45c8 either 7 or 4 must be true. If 7 is true, then it's false in r8c8; and if 4 is true then 8 must be false in r5c8 forcing 8 to be true in r8c8. In either case 7 must then be false in r8c8.

Your rationale is right and the chain is correct. The trouble comes when reading it, because 8r5c8 seems to be in a weak link with the 8s of the ANS (Almost naked Set) (1894)b6p2457.

In such a case, to avoid ambiguousness, I'd afford to derogate to the Eureka rule for writing ALS's (bystanders written on the right side), to get:
(7189=4)b6p2457 - (8)r5c8 = (8)r8c8 => -7r8c8

You could also flip your chain right to left: (8)r8c8 = r5c8 - (4=1897)b6p2457 => -7r8c8

Instead of using the AHS (48)r58c8, you could use the dual ALS in c8:
(7=1894)b6p2457 - (4=197)r234c8 => -7r8c8 (overlapping ALS's)

Note a similar elimination with a less cumbersome ALS in b6:
(7=198)b6p247 - r5c8 = (8)r8c8 => -7r8c8
