Broken thread

Postby dobrichev » Tue Oct 23, 2018 9:31 am

EDIT:
This thread wasn't opened by me, and its original title wasn't "Top 5 Hottest HTML5 Racing Games" as it is at the moment.
Somehow the previous post disappeared.
I changed the title to "Broken thread".

This was my original answer:

Happy of course, especially if your grandson is the only one who plays this game better than you.

did op change the title of the original post (and presumably the contents too) and then have it deleted? If so that's the worst attempt at being a spambot i have ever seen

Now in my new role of topic starter I changed the title and reported to forum admins.

our anti spam bot, probably reviewed the thread after it was altered deemed it spam and removed it.
Some do, some teach, the rest look it up.

(i am unaware of an anti-spam bot)

the original post was borderline
(grandson solving SuDoku)

seems it was indeed a sneaky spammer
who returned later and edited it to say
"Top 5 Hottest HTML5 Racing Games"

which would've been deleted by our Administrator
(while retaining the responses to the original post)

Code: Select all
(i am unaware of an anti-spam bot)

... as far as i knew we had a modified version of grimlin with admin privies to delete and moderate spam, for us it was created by i believe gsf and ronk during the spam wars on the old forum.... and i thought it was reinstated over here.....

The original post was considered SPAM and removed. The replies seemed mildly interesting so I left them.

No, there isn't an anti-SPAM robot, Just me and Pat.

yes, gsf helped a lot during that time in 2009
when a spammer bombarded us with thousands of posts

no, his software didn't have Admin privileges.

since it was just one spammer,
the software made a big list of those posts,
so a Moderator (me) could delete the whole bunch with just one command

( or as i recall, one command for each separate section of the forum --
    i.e. around a dozen commands
    )
